Public Health Quality Improvement Technical Committee
Mission:
To research, develop, and document applications for improving public health infrastructure and performance. To recommend innovative solutions and measurable results for public health organization and system capacity, project and process effectiveness, workforce ability and excellence in information and communication systems. “Prevent, promote, protect.”
Goals:
- Develop the Body of Knowledge
- Provide an environment for practitioners to learn and share best practices
- Develop a technical and operational tools reference library
- Establish links to other reference sources
- Develop and publish technical articles
- Promote certification (CQIA, CPQA, CMQ/OE…SSGB, SSBB eventually)
- Provide availability of CEUs for professional advancement
- Clearly distinguish public health from health care (division)
