American Society for Quality - Quality Management Division

Mission

The purpose of this committee is to provide research and guidance to organizations that are working on the management of Global Supply Chains. Most current Supply Chain projects are ONLY driven by price and delivery issues. The committee members will be asked to share current experience and future direction as incorporating quality issues into the Global Supply Chain Management process.

Historical Perspective:

The amount of work involved to create, manage, and sustain a global supply chain is enormous. The number of business processes that are not handled by ERP systems is overwhelming. Most organizations have started financial and inventory controls, but few have addressed the other processes.
